Two days...

until the BCS National Championship game. Every team thought they should have been playing on the 8th, but it came down to Florida and Oklahoma. Do they deserve to be there? You could make arguments for both sides, but the BCS decided they did so there. I'll rant on the BCS and how ridiculous I think it is later. Let me start with why Florida deserves to be playing for a national title.

Speed. Florida has too much speed to contain. Harvin, Demps, Moody, Rainey, the list goes on. The Gators averaged 6 yards per rush and 229 rushing yards a game. They also averaged 42 yards per punt. When watching them, no team could stop them. They will run all over the Sooner defense who is too big for the quick Gators offense and special teams.

Urban Meyer. After leading Utah to an undefeated season and it's first BCS bowl game in 2004, he came to UF and took the Gators to the title game and won in 2006. The next year he coached Tim Tebow to become the first sophomore to win the Heisman. And now he's taking Florida to their second national championship in three years. He's a great leader and motivator for his players, they respect him.

Fans. Gator Nation is loud, obnoxious, and tough. Every team that has come to The Swamp say it is the most difficult places to play in, let alone win at. Granted the title game is not there, but the fans will be the same. And they will be heard and in your face. This will make it incredibly difficult for the Oklahoma offense to communicate.

And now on to Oklahoma.

Okay I rest my case, game over.

Until next time.
